Traficom — Finland’s digital accessibility supervisor

Traficom is Finland’s transport and communications agency. It supervises the Finnish Digital Services Act and advises both public and private operators on accessibility obligations.

What Traficom supervises

The existence and accuracy of the accessibility statement, conformance to EN 301 549, the feedback channel’s operation, and the 14-day response.

How enforcement works

Supervision relies on both the agency’s own audits and user feedback. On non-conformance, Traficom can issue a notice, require remediation, and ultimately impose a conditional fine.

EAA extension on 28 June 2025

Private-sector consumer services — e-commerce, passenger transport, banking, communications — came under Traficom’s supervision in June 2025.
